Introduction

Pampers Baby Dry diapers are one of the most popular brand range of disposable diapers on the market today.

The high ratings across the board with the different sizes that they come in is and has for a long time been consistently high and parents that use them just seem to have only good things to say about them.

Baby Dry diapers excel in terms of baby comfort, low levels of skin irritation particularly for babies with sensitive skin, all round snug fit, huge absorption levels and the ability to keep your baby’s skin baby dry even with a full diaper.

Weight Range

There are seven main different sizes to choose from depending on the weight of your baby:

Size Newborn:  Newborn – 8 lbs / 4 kgs
Size 1:  8 – 14 lbs / 4 – 6 kgs
Size 1-2:  a ‘hybrid’ fit between sizes 1 and 2
Size 2:  12 – 18 lbs / 5 – 8 kgs
Size 3:  16 – 28 lbs / 7 – 13 kgs
Size 4:  22 – 37 lbs / 10 – 17 kgs
Size 5:  27 + lbs / 12 + kgs
Size 6:  35 + lbs / 16 + kgs

Caterpillar Flex

The tab fastenings on the whole of the Baby Dry diaper range has been upgraded to offer the substantially improved Caterpillar Flex design.

Each tab to fasten the waist area of the diaper has effectively been ridged to offer much greater flexibility and stretch compared to the standard flat design tabs.

For your baby this means that when they move and wriggle around, the tab fastenings themselves flex to maintain the same snug and correct fit all of the time.

There is a lot less actual force that is sent to the adhesive point of the tab itself, which makes sure that the flexibility built into the tab takes the strain of your baby’s movement and not lead to the adhesive tab pulling away from the main diaper.

The other great benefit of this new flexible tab design is that because the actual tab takes the strain forcing the actual diaper to self adjust, you no longer have a rigid fitting diaper that would normally just pull at your baby’s skin.

As a consequence, it is a lot more comfortable for your baby and less irritation is caused to your baby’s skin around the waist area.

Contoured Leg Fit

Baby Dry Pampers from sizes 2 to 6 inclusive provides what they call a contoured leg shape fitting.

Most other diapers are designed in the old fashioned straight leg fit no matter what size of baby you have.

These diapers rely on a stronger elasticized leg to keep the diaper as close to your baby’s skin to prevent leaks.

Pampers recognized early on that the use of more taught elastic at the leg meant less comfort and more skin irritation for your baby in this area, particularly as they inevitably move.

To combat this, they have provided a more naturally molded leg shape and fit that more closely resembles the actual shape of a baby’s upper leg at this stage of development.

The result is that the contoured shape provides much of the snug fit on its own, with less emphasis on overly strong elastic pulling onto your baby’s skin.

The real world result has been a noticeably more comfortable fit for babies and certainly less irritation for babies with delicate skin, but also in fact a much snugger fit of diaper.

UltraAbsorb Core

Pampers Baby Dry diapers have always been well known for their high levels of absorbency and is one of the chief reasons why the range became so popular in the first place.

Most brands of disposable diaper on the market today offer two layers of absorption at the most.

Baby Dry diapers provide three layers.

That’s one third more fluid that is able to be absorbed by the diaper.

In practical terms, this is huge.

The third layer’s extra absorption amount means the difference between needing to change your baby’s diaper during the night and not needing to change it until the morning.

Not only is this a huge convenience factor, but it means less diapers used and therefore savings in your pocket.

Of course, the greater level of fluids absorbed are also kept in and not allowed to flow back out to your baby’s skin surface.

Other leading brands of diaper simply cannot seem to match this ability.

The reason why Pampers call these highly successful range of disposable diapers ‘Baby Dry’.
