Kid’s bedroom decoration themes are now almost common place with parents and children and it seems that the most popular themes these days are those that are inspired by TV shows and movies and for girls especially, none more so than Disney Princess.

The Disney Princess Canopy for your child’s bed has become incredibly popular of late, perhaps because in line with the whole Princess and Enchanted theme, the addition of a bed canopy really does create a fairy tale center piece to the room.

Previously, the only way that you could add such flowing canopies to the overall theme of your kid’s room was to buy the actual bed which came with a matching canopy included. This was a simple and easy choice for those parents that needed a new bed for their child, but for most that already had a bed, all that they really wanted was the Disney Princess bedding sheets and covers and of course a Disney Princess Canopy to top off the overall design and look. Also not forgetting, that if you do end up buying the entire Princess themed bed and your daughter should soon after become obsessed with a different Disney theme…well replacements and theme updates are just a little more tricky...and expensive!

Today, there are a number of different Princess canopies that you can choose from, which is pretty important for two main reasons:

1. The Princess designs do vary widely and your child will certainly prefer one design over several of the others.
2. From a practical perspective, some canopies have been designed to fit specific types of bed, for example beds with posts and if you don’t already have a four or indeed two poster bed for your child, then fitting of these Disney Princess Canopy packages will not really be appropriate. There are of course many Princess canopy designs available that are bed type independent and are simply attached above a universal type bed to achieve the pretty flowing Princess look that you are trying to achieve.

The main types of Disney Princess Canopy that is widely available include the poster type ones, as discussed above, the self installing hanging tube type canopies as well as full tent type canopies that can be fully enclosed, which is particularly appropriate for smaller children.
